Family Photo Session on the Zugspitze

I was looking forward to this day for months, but I was not prepared for how amazing the morning (and rest of the day) was going to be. We met up early on a Sunday morning and took the first gondola up to the Zugspitze. Apart from some mountaineers, all equipped with ropes, helmets and off to complete one of the many ridge hikes, there were no other tourists with us. After we took the second, smaller gondola to the glacier area alone, it took us a bit to fully grasp that we did in fact have the entire glacier area on the Zugspitze, usually bussing with tourists - especially on a Sunday - to ourselves. It was an experience none of us will forget anytime soon, and I am so grateful to have been able to document this day!
