Sunrise Photo Session in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
When Jessica contacted me about a couple session in the meadows of Garmisch-Partenkirchen to commemorate her time in Germany with her husband before work brings them both back to the U.S., I instantly thought of the perfect remote location for them. We got to planning and were ready for an epic shoot!
It wouldn’t be the Alps if the forecast for our planned evening session didn’t change last minute. The day prior to our session was miserable, it rained all day, was windy, and just overall weather that’s not ideal for what we had in mind. But towards - what would have been sunset had the sun been out - the rain stopped and the clouds started to move, making room for a gorgeous sunset. Looking at that I knew the 5:30am sunrise was going to be amazing (okay, actually my husband made that comment). I reached out to Jessica and without hesitation her and Steven agreed to meet me early the next morning.
When we walked up to the location, Jessica told me that a few years prior, she had driven past the location with her family on a road trip to Austria, and commented on how this would be such a neat photo location. What are the odds we’d end up in this exact location a few years later!
We spent a wonderful morning watching the mist lift over the lake, and I got to capture their love story in all its glory.
